Solvent‐mediated single‐crystal‐to‐single‐crystal transformation of metal–organic cage self‐assembly

چکیده
Metal–organic polyhedra (MOPs) are intrinsically porous cage-like structures; however, they frequently display low porosity due to their agglomeration caused by solvent exchange and removal, which results in the blockage of pore windows. This study presents unprecedented single-crystal-to-single-crystal transformation a cuboctahedral MOP-OH ([Cu24L24], H2L = 5-hydroxybenzene-1,3-dicarboxylic acid) using simple from coordinating N,N-diethylformamide weakly chloroform. Following exchange, interaction between cages resultant MOP self-assembly is strengthened while solvents decreased. The N2 uptake surface areas MOPs highly correlated with cage arrangements: tightly packed chloroform most among prepared samples, whereas loosely less porous. Scanning electron microscopy reveals that tight packing prevents crystals being deteriorating during removal.

compactifications and representations of transformation semigroups
this thesis deals essentially (but not from all aspects) with the extension of the notion of semigroup compactification and the construction of a general theory of semitopological nonaffine (affine) transformation semigroup compactifications. it determines those compactification which are universal with respect to some algebric or topological properties. as an application of the theory, it is i...

A series of neutral cubic nickel(II)-imidazolate Ni8L12X4 cages were prepared by rational choices of substituents and anions with solvothermal subcomponent self-assembly technology. Both substituents and halide anions play a critical role in the formation and stabilization of cubic cages. Changing one of the factors in the reaction will switch the final structure to a Ni14L24 rhombic dodecahedr...
متن کاملTransformation of InAs islands to quantum ring structures by metalorganic vapor phase epitaxy.
The transformation of InAs islands to quantum rings (QRs) by metalorganic vapor phase epitaxy is investigated. After covering the InAs islands with a thin GaAs partial capping layer and annealing under tertiarybutylarsine (TBAs) flow, ring-shaped nanostructures with a density of 10(7)-10(9) cm(-2) are obtained at 500-600 °C. The effects of the growth temperature, annealing process and thickness...
متن کاملSelfassembly of metallic nanoparticle arrays by DNA scaffolding
We report the self-assembly of metallic nanoparticle arrays using DNA crystals as a programmable molecular scaffolding. Gold nanoparticles, 1.4 nm in diameter, are assembled in two-dimensional arrays with interparticle spacings of 4 and 64 nm. The nanoparticles form precisely integrated components, which are covalently bonded to the DNA scaffolding. These results show that heterologous chemical...
متن کاملCage Culture: Species Suitable for Cage Culture
for cage culture. Species which have been researched and successfully reared in cages in the southeastern region of the U.S. include: catfish, trout, tilapia, striped bass, red drum, bluegill sunfish, crappie, and carp. Other species may be suitable for cage culture but research has lagged behind other aquaculture research in recent years. Interest in cage culture has been revived as an alterna...
